Your Dream Teacher.
We're not a teacher marketplace, where anyone can sign-up to teach, and everyone is rated "5-stars" regardless of quality.
We meticulously screen each teacher through our 4-Stage selection process:
Verify prior experience and teaching certifications
First interview is with our head of academics
Second interview consists of a full lesson, just like with a real student
Teacher starts to work with live students. Performance is tracked.
Where are our teachers from?
All of our teachers are based in Guatemala, a Central America country of 17 million people.
Guatemala Spanish has many similarities to the language spoken in other countries like Mexico, Argentina and Spain. However, we generally teach Spanish in its most "neutral" form, which can be universally understood by any Spanish speaker in the world.
Did you know?
The Guatemalan accent is considered by many native speakers to be the clearest and purest Spanish accent.
EMPOWERMENT through teaching.
In a country where nearly 60% of the population is below the poverty line, teaching online has a huge impact on quality of life.
For many people, it means being able to earn a living in a safe environment, and having the flexibility to take care of their families at home.
Verbalicity is committed to empowering our teachers, and providing continuous training to help them become better at what they do.
Of our teachers are women
Crime is a problem where I live and I never felt safe having to commute to work. Working with Verbalicity has had a positive impact to my life, in terms of comfort and safety. Teaching online is almost like travelling abroad, introducing students to our vibrant language and learning more about theirs.
Teaching online has allowed me to make great friends around the world, whom I hope to meet in person one day. I love teaching from the comfort of home and it saves me a lot of time which I can devote to other projects. My goal is to start a charity to help people in my community.
